Ultralight clamps are designed around our standard 1" ball mounting system, but different clamp designs provide different amounts of reach, clearance and articulation. Use this guide to help choose the clamp that best fits your setup.
Which Style Is Right for You?
Standard Clamps: Choose the AC-CSF for most applications. Move to the AC-CSB, AC-CSL or AC-CSLXL when you need additional clearance or reach.
Cutout Clamps: Choose a cutout clamp when you need greater freedom to position lights, strobes, monitors or other accessories at more extreme angles. Single-cutout clamps provide increased movement on one side, while double-cutout clamps provide maximum articulation.
Triple Clamps: Choose a triple clamp when you want to add another 1" ball-mounted accessory at an existing connection point without adding another mounting base.
Coarse Thread or Fine Thread?
Most Ultralight clamps use our standard 1/4"-20 coarse-thread design. Select clamps are also available with a 1/4"-28 fine-thread bolt for users who prefer smaller, more precise adjustments when tightening the clamp.
*Neither design is universally better—the choice comes down to the type of adjustment you prefer.
